Job summary
Perdue Farms in Milford, CT is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to design, program, maintain, and optimize automated and robotic systems on the manufacturing floor. You will troubleshoot controls, support new technology implementations, and contribute to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
A $7,000 hiring bonus is offered, with a Monday–Friday schedule 2:00pm–11:00pm. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure safety compliance, uptime, and system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 8+ years in industrial automation and PLC programming, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial control systems.
- Certifications such as CAP or related certifications are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and implement automated control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated equipment.
- Maintain regular maintenance and inspections of control systems and equipment.
- Install and configure/program industrial robots and PLCs/HMIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design and integrate automation/robotic solutions.
- Provide training and support to operators on control system usage.
