Job summary
Nestlé Purina operates a state-of-the-art factory located about 30 miles east of Cincinnati, Batavia, NY. The Controls Technical Specialist I will troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PLC and PC-based automation systems, including ASRS and packaging equipment, with an initial training period followed by night shift coverage on a 2-2-3 schedule.
The role requires hands-on work with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff), HMI/SCADA, robotics, SIS safety, and system documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of PLC/PC-based control system troubleshooting experience.
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline with at least 1 year of PLC/PC-based HMI experience.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot automation systems including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff) and HMI/SCADA software (Ignition, Aveva).
- Provide hardware support to maintenance staff focused on packaging lines and warehouse operations (ASRS).
- Troubleshoot Fanuc robots, servo motion (Kinetix, SEW-Eurodrive), SIS, and electrical/power distribution.
