Job summary
Nestlé Purina in Batavia, OH, is seeking an automation technician to support a state-of-the-art pet care manufacturing site. You will troubleshoot PLCs, maintain automation hardware, and support packaging lines, warehouses, and process controls on a night shift schedule.
The role starts with training on our control systems, then shifts to a 2-2-3 night schedule. Candidates with a technical diploma and PLC/HMI experience are encouraged to apply. Nestlé Purina offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- PLC software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with PC-based HMI systems.
- Strong electrical and instrumentation knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot automation systems including PLCs and HMI/SCADA software.
- Provide hardware support to maintenance staff on packaging lines and warehouse operations.
- Troubleshoot Fanuc robots, servo motion, SIS, and power distribution.
- Install and troubleshoot instrumentation for level, weight, temperature, pressure, and flow.
- Lead plant and capital projects from conception to completion.
- Maintain up-to-date electrical and controls documentation.
- Coordinate control system software upgrades.
- Perform network and data administration for networked control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
