Job summary

Nestlé Fremont Factory is seeking an Associate Chemist to support manufacturing of safe, high‑quality products. This entry‑level role performs analytical testing, supports GLP/GMP compliance, and helps ensure all analyses meet Nestlé standards.

You will collect samples, analyze products and raw materials, manage reagents and data, and assist with training and troubleshooting on the production floor. The position runs a 2‑2‑3 off‑shift schedule after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of analytical testing, instrumentation, GLP and lab safety.
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from production areas per schedules and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory analyses on goods, in-process samples, allergens, and finished products.
• Carry out analyses per Nestle methods and work instructions.
• Support integration of new analytical methods, instruments and tech.
• Manage chemical inventory, reagents, standards and disposal.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
