Job summary

Baptist Health Nassau is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Medical Surgical Team on the Nassau Main Building, full‑time night shift. The role supports the Nurse Manager, oversees unit operations, and ensures delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care.

You will lead shift staff, coordinate admissions and discharges, mentor staff, and serve as an expert clinical resource. Requires RN license, AS Nursing, BLS, ACLS, and at least two years of hospital nursing experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years hospital nursing experience required
• Associate of Science degree in Nursing is required
• RN license required (active)
• BLS required
• ACLS required

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations
• Works closely with direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care
• Is an expert clinical resource
• Facilitates the admission, transfer, and discharge flow
• Takes a lead role in implementing changes
• Supports and coaches staff development
• Makes shift-to-shift patient care assignments
• Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed
