Job summary

Baptist Health Jacksonville is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This full-time night shift leadership role partners with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations, mentor nursing staff, and ensure patient-centered care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment.

The ideal candidate has medical-surgical nursing experience, progressive care leadership, and an active RN license with BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Medical-surgical, post-surgical and progressive acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operations and clinical leadership of the Med/Surg unit.
• Lead, coach, and support RNs and patient care staff.
• Promote safe, high-quality patient care for medical-surgical patients.
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges and staffing assignments.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining a positive work environment.
