Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an Armed Security Officer for night shifts at Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. The role patrols hospital properties, screens visitors, and protects staff and patients.

The officer responds to alarms, enforces policies, and engages in emergency response alongside security leadership. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 10 years of law enforcement experience, and multiple certifications (LEOSA, BLS, Taser).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or equivalent from college/trade school preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of law enforcement experience in good standing or retired.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Arizona LEOSA certification required for armed security.
• HH Armed Security Officer Training Program completion required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Taser certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated HonorHealth properties and monitor safety and security.
• Screen visitors and enforce campus policies (parking, badge, etc.).
• Respond to alarms and urgent security calls; assist in emergencies and maintain order.
• Document incidents, maintain logs, and communicate with leadership.
• Provide training to staff and support security leadership at events.
• Represent HonorHealth as a brand ambassador and collaborate with partners.
