Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II for night shifts. You will assist Anesthesiologists/CRNAs during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, and help with regional blocks and invasive monitoring devices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BCLS certification, and at least one year of anesthesia tech experience; ASATT is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with BCLS certification required.
• ASATT certification preferred; at least 1 year anesthesia tech experience.
• Must maintain infection control and sterile technique in OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide approved assistance to Anesthesiologists/CRNAs during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia.
• Assist with placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.
• Maintain equipment and supplies daily and per case to ensure quality anesthesia care.
