Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists and OR staff, handling equipment maintenance, sterilization, and supply management. You will ensure readiness of instruments, assist with blood samples, and help in patient preparation for anesthesia.

The role runs nights with on-call, weekend and holiday rotations. Requires a high school diploma or GED and healthcare experience or an accredited program, plus BLS certification.

Formación

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED; One year healthcare experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Science can substitute one year of healthcare work experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the new hire period.

Responsabilidades

• Stock carts and surgical suites with required supplies.
• Assist with difficult airway management by providing equipment support.
• Deliver blood samples to the lab and retrieve blood products.
• Disassemble, decontaminate and sterilize anesthesia equipment; report problems and restock.
• Perform Point of Care (POCT) testing after competency.
• Communicate with anesthesia/OR staff to prioritize daily OR assignments.
• Transport anesthesia equipment to/from OR and off-site locations.
• Maintain records and check orders and equipment status.
• Maintain anesthesia supplies and inventory levels.
• Prepare and test anesthesia equipment; troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
• Turn over rooms to minimize downtime between cases.
• Prepare patient for anesthesia with necessary equipment and medications.
