Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Morristown, TN is seeking a Chemist to support QA/QC through physical and chemical testing of materials and finished products. The lab operates 24/7, and this is a third shift position (10:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will perform tests, review data, and help ensure accuracy of certificates of analysis.

A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related technical field and 0–2 years of experience in an analytical lab are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• 0–2 years in an analytical lab or related industry.
• Proven lab skills with training in chemistry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work third shift M-F.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Approves materials and products based on test results.
• Maintain the laboratory quality assurance systems and document results.
• Assist in investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
