Job summary

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is hiring a licensed Electrician for Nashville International Airport. You will install, modify, and repair lighting and mechanical systems, and perform preventive maintenance on motors, relays, and power distribution.

You will read blueprints, operate heavy equipment, and support airport projects end to end. This role requires a high school diploma, an apprenticeship or related training, 2–4 years of electrical experience, and a journeyman

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Postsecondary apprenticeship or related training
• 2-4 years of electrical or related experience
• Journeyman electrician certification or 4 years pf electrical military training
• Valid Driver's License- Class D
• Air Operations Area (AOA) Clearance (180 days upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Installs, modifies, and repairs lighting and mechanical systems in airport and airfield facilities.
• Inspects maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical facilities and develops improvements.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and cut sheets of systems and facilities.
• Operates aerial lifts, boom trucks, tow motors, fork trucks, scissors lifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Maintains and repairs motors, relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Works on 24-volt systems and circuit boards.
• Lays out projects, completes material take-off, and supports projects start to finish.
• Works on live electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
