Job summary
The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority seeks an experienced Airfield Maintenance Electrician to install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and electronic controls on the airfield and related facilities.
You will service transformers, generators, switch gears, and maintain records. Strong diagnostic and blueprint-reading skills are essential to ensure FAA-compliant operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Four years Journeyman Electrician experience with industrial electrical work in medium-high voltage, switch gears, generators, or transformers.
- Preferred Memphis-Shelby County Master or Journeyman Electrical License on hire; must obtain within six months.
- Must obtain Class III AOA license within six months.
- Valid driver license required.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and electronic controls on the airfield and related facilities.
- Perform maintenance on all electrical systems, electronic controls, transformers, generators, and switch gears; maintain work records.
- Maintain airfield lighting circuits per FAA guidelines; work on medium to high voltage systems.
