Job summary

The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for inpatient hematology care. The APP works with licensed physicians to deliver comprehensive care during acute and chronic illness, including education and counseling of patients and families, health promotion, and timely referrals.

The role requires collaboration with medical staff, adherence to credentialing requirements, and providing coverage for the nocturnal shift as part of a 40-hour work

Qualifications

• Current APRN license in Ohio.
• MSN/NP program graduate eligible for national cert.
• PA-C path: NCCPA certification eligibility.
• Shift: Third Shift; 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to inpatients within the care parameters set with an attending physician.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to deliver full-scope care.
• Educate patients and families; promote health and preventive care.
• Refer to other providers and community resources as appropriate.

Education

Nurse Practitioner MSN program; eligible to sit for national certifying exam

PA-C program; NCCPA certification eligibility
