UofL Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician for night shifts to support psychiatric patients in crisis. You will work under an RN, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment and assisting with clinical tasks such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient transfers.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and preferred EMT/Medical Assistant training or nursing coursework. The role requires flexibility for night hours and on-call coverage.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in social/health sciences preferred.
• One year inpatient or emergency psychiatry or related experience preferred.
• CPR accredited by the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers required.
• Must obtain organizational crisis intervention training.

Aufgaben

• Monitors and maintains the therapeutic environment.
• Participates in identification, management, and stabilization of crisis situations.
• Transports patients and remains with them for tests.
• Assists with admissions and discharges and documentation of seclusion/restraint.
• Performs vital signs, phlebotomy, and related documentation.
• Supports nursing team and other disciplines as needed.
