Sentara Independence Emergency Department in Virginia Beach is hiring a Full-time Administrative Associate for swing shifts. You will work nights, handling clerical tasks, patient scheduling, and inquiries while collaborating with medical staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma and offers preferred advancement toward an associate or bachelor’s degree with strong Microsoft Office skills. Benefits include medical/dental/vision plans and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required).
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• Microsoft Office Knowledge, including Word and Excel (Preferred).
• Medical Office Experience (Preferred).
• Excellent Time Management, Multi-tasking, and Prioritizing Skills (Strongly Preferred).
• Excellent Communication Skills (Strongly Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support and administrative assistance to the unit.
• Serve as first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors with excellent customer service.
• Manage patient records, scheduling, and inquiries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with medical staff, management, and patients to ensure quality care.
