Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Kaufman, TX, is recruiting a full-time Hospitalist Physician Assistant to work the night shift (3pm–3am) within a dedicated inpatient team. You will assist hospitalists with evaluations, H&Ps, and follow-up visits, while initiating treatments for admitted patients and performing comprehensive admissions exams.

Required: Texas licensure as an Acute Care Physician Assistant and ACLS certification, plus 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU.

Qualifications

• Texas licensed Acute Care Physician Assistant.
• ACLS certification.
• 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU.

Responsibilities

• Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits.
• Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses.
• Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions
• Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients
• Document using EMR system.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
