Job summary

Allied Universal in York, SC is seeking a Security Officer Secure Entry Access to protect facilities and support a safe, productive environment. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent service to employees, visitors, and operations.

The role requires monitoring access, visiting sites, and maintaining security records. A high school diploma is required, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and a background check; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Shift pattern runs nights and days.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access to manufacturing and industrial areas in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas, access points, and the perimeter, as assigned by the location.
