Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with tolerancing.
• Basic math skills including geometry and algebra for fabrication calculations.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce quality parts.
• Inspect parts for conformance and maintain close tolerances and high efficiency.
• Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and sequence of operations.
• Measure dimensions and reference points on workpieces as guides for machining.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and adjust machines to ensure quality production.
