Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a part-time Security team member to promote and guard community property, ensuring safety and compliance. You will conduct inspections, monitor access, and respond to security calls, with duties including unlocking areas and assisting in emergencies.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent; state security license is preferred but not required, and one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicable state Security Officer License preferred but not required
• One year job related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and guard the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
• Conduct safety and security inspections of all community property.
• Examine doors, windows and gates to ensure security.
• Patrol community property and report irregularities or safety hazards.
• Investigate incidents and incidents and file reports as needed.
• Respond to security calls and handle on-scene emergencies until a supervisor relieves you.
• Secure and unlock areas following policy and community expectations.
• Assist in emergency response procedures as per community policy.
• Drive community vehicle if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Security Officer License (state) preferred

One year job related experience preferred
