Job summary

Panorama is seeking an experienced Security Officer to protect a 145-acre retirement community. The role involves patrolling on foot or by vehicle, locking/unlocking gates, and ensuring the security of residents and facilities.

A strong emphasis on customer service and clear reporting is required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, a Washington State driver’s license, and prior security experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have Washington State driver's license and meet the minimum company driving standards to operate vehicles.
• Previous security experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in security vehicle to check for vandalism, suspicious activity, or safety hazards.
• Lock and unlock gates and doors at prescribed times.
• Check homes for security when residents are away or in hospital.
• Ensure doors, gates, locks and windows are in safe condition and report issues.
• Perform light maintenance after the maintenance team finishes.
• Enforce rules and respond to emergencies requiring security assistance.
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity logs.
