Job summary

ProGuard Security Services is seeking a Security Officer for a graveyard shift at our Oakland facility. The role involves monitoring access points, patrolling the premises, and responding to incidents to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior security experience, basic computer and radio skills, and the ability to perform physical patrol duties.

Qualifications

• Prior security guard or related experience.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Ability to perform patrol duties including stairs and repetitive motions.
• Strong oral communication with team members, visitors and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems and verify identifications.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting all areas for safety and security.
• Operate wireless communication devices and radios to maintain contact with security team and report incidents.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for accountability.
