Job summary

ProGuard Security Services is seeking a Security Officer for a graveyard shift at our Oakland facility. The role involves monitoring access points, patrolling the premises, and responding to incidents to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior security experience, basic computer and radio skills, and the ability to perform physical patrol duties.

• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for accountability.

About the Role:

The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property within the assigned premises. This position involves monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. The Security Officer ensures compliance with all safety protocols and company policies while effectively communicating with team members and external agencies as needed. By utilizing technology and physical vigilance, the officer helps prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a secure atmosphere that supports the smooth operation of the organization and peace of mind for all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
