Job summary

Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Atlanta, GA seeks a dedicated security professional to perform protective, preventative, safety, and security duties across the hotel complex, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests, associates, and vendors. Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Be willing to pitch in and help coworkers as a team.
• Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building and public areas.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for duration of shift.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe emergencies.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of shift on foot patrol, observing safety risks and disturbances.
• Maintain order, assist guests and resolve door lock issues; respond to emergencies calmly.
• Handle undesired conduct and potential policy violations with safety in mind.
• Watch for suspicious persons and conduct hotel-wide security observations.
• Answer security lines and safety hotline calls promptly by priority.
• Observe security monitors and report alarms to the supervisor.
• Memorize property life-safety systems and sprinkler locations.
• Attend shifts as scheduled and be available regularly.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
