Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• BLS certificate (within 90 days of hire)
• Preferred 6 months hospital/healthcare security experience or 1 year security officer experience
• No felony convictions or crimes involving moral turpitude or weapon misuse

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency codes and report data promptly
• Detect and resolve unsafe situations
• Assist with restraints as needed
• Monitor high-risk patients and support clinical staff
• Protect patient belongings and handle lost & found items
• Investigate and report incidents
• Oversee lab specimen deliveries with HIPAA compliance
• Patrol CVMC facilities to deter crime and vandalism
• Escort visitors and provide assistance as needed
• Attend trainings and meetings as required
