Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to support a chemical/petrochemical site in Sulphur, LA. The role involves access-control, visitor management, incident response, and regular patrols to safeguard people and assets.

Qualifications include a valid state driver’s license, 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed), and background/drug screening as required. The position is full-time with a structured schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements as per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies, and respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points at a chemical and petrochemical location, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following security procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and perimeter areas; vary by site.
• Report unusual activity, access-control concerns, and facility conditions to site leadership or emergency personnel.
