Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Night Shift SDU Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position. The Charge RN will oversee a designated group of patients, provide direct care using the nursing process, and supervise other health care team members while also performing Staff Nurse duties.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active Oklahoma RN licensure, and 2–5 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Licensure Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
• Two to five years of clinical experience (preferably in the area of application).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Must maintain ACLS. Experienced new hires have 90 days to obtain ACLS.
• NIHSS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• She or he provides direct care to these patients via the nursing process, the environmental/instrumentation and management of other health care team members.
• In addition, the Charge Nurse is expected to perform the duties of a Staff Nurse.
