Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics is seeking a Sanitation Technician for our Greencastle location. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all processing equipment, floors, and drains on a nightly basis, ensuring food safety and quality.

We value teamwork and a deep commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming. The role requires independence and reliability, with a focus on maintaining a clean processing environment and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a processing environment preferred.
• Cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rinse, foam, scrub and wash, rinse and then sanitize processing equipment and areas.
• Clean and sanitize all processing equipment, floors, drains and surrounding areas nightly.
• Perform end-of-day hygiene sweep of entire processing plant, removing waste and debris.
• Work independently and efficiently to maintain sanitation standards.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
