Job summary

A Place At Home - Fairfield South is seeking an Overnight Fall Prevention Aide (10pm-6am) to provide attentive, non-medical care and supervision for clients at risk of falls. The role emphasizes safety, reassurance, and support to promote client independence during overnight hours.

Responsibilities include monitoring, helping with transfers, basic personal care, household tasks, and documenting observations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a safe nightly environment.

Qualifications

• CNA/HHA or equivalent caregiving experience preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
• TB test completion or willingness to obtain.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight monitoring to reduce fall risk and ensure client safety.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility per care plan.
• Offer personal care such as toileting, hygiene, and comfort at night.
• Ensure safe environment with clear pathways, adequate lighting, and accessible assistive devices.
• Observe and report changes in condition or environment to supervisor.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote security.
• Assist with light household tasks as needed (cleanup, laundry, meal prep).
• Document observations and activities in the client care record to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and company privacy policies.
