Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist Specialist for night shifts on the RT Shared Services team at the North Campus in Broomfield. The role focuses on family‑centered care, education, and collaboration within interprofessional teams to deliver high‑quality respiratory care.

The ideal candidate holds an RT credential, has pediatric experience, and is prepared to achieve required certifications within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor’s degree preferred at hire.
• Minimum three years of respiratory therapy experience, including at least one year in pediatrics.
• RRT required; CPFT or RPFT credential within one year for outpatient pulmonary function lab; BLS/ACLS/PALS as specified; NBRC credentials preferred for RRT‑NPS.

Responsibilities

• Functions independently in two or more areas and may serve as Charge nurse in RT duties.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient and family education and care plans.
• Promotes evidence‑based practice and participates in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Precepts and educates orientees, students, and peers; serves as a clinical resource.
