Job summary

Shorewood Behavioral Health Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for nights (7:00pm - 7:30am). Lead nursing operations, ensure adequate staffing, and maintain compassionate, patient-first care.

Responsibilities include resource planning by acuity, enforcing care policies, coordinating with physicians, and mentoring staff. Requires BSN preferred and an active RN license in Wisconsin, with 1+ year RN leadership experience desirable.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of the facility is required.
• 1+ year of RN experience strongly preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in any setting required.
• Experience in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
• Some leadership or charge RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates and manages census changes; allocates resources by acuity.
• Model customer service expectations; uphold patient safety urgency.
• Enforce policies for delivery of patient and resident care.
• Ensure staffing for each unit; manage call-offs and vacations.
• Complete chart checks, MARs, logs, and nursing assessments.
• Perform shift rounds and random audits.
• Mentor and train staff; ensure orientation and competence.
• Coordinate care with physicians and diagnostics; document care.
• Administer medications per policies.
• Lead admissions and discharges; communicate changes to physicians.
