Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Resources Supervisor for Stepdown to work 4x10 hour night shifts (6pm-4am). The role includes supervising resource allocation, ensuring high standards of patient care, and coordinating with departments to optimize outcomes.

A $20,000 bonus is offered for experienced nurses. Requirements include a nursing degree, active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, and preferred 1 year of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Preferred 1 year of critical care experience.
• BLS certification; ACLS may be required within timeframe.

Qualifications

Education

Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience

preferred 1 year of critical care experience

Certifications

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
