Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Medical Step Down Unit at Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse I to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and document care for patients requiring step-down monitoring.

The role requires a Diploma or ASN in Nursing, NYS RN licensure, and BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with at least 6 months RN experience anticipated.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ASN in Nursing (required).
• NYS RN license and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 6 months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and documents findings.
• Communicates assessments to the interdisciplinary team and documents plans of care.
• Uses available resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans and goals.
• Adheres to safety, medication administration and documentation policies.
• Revises plans based on evaluations and updates documentation.
• Completes at least one CRU form using a recent US-based article.

Education

Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
