Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is expected to provide comprehensive patient care on the MedSurg Neuro & Stroke unit during Night shift, applying the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, evidence-based care and coordinate patient discharge planning as needed.

Eligibility includes Virginia RN licensure with BLS, with a preferred BSN and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia or a compact state; BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour shifts for inpatient staff; unit/departmental needs may vary.
• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment and plans, implements care.
• Administers medication safely and verifies orders accurately.
• Documents patient care per hospital policy and ensures infection control.
• Supports discharge planning and collaborates with the clinical team.
