Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool RN to assess, implement, and evaluate care for diverse patients within the facility. You will report to the Clinical Director of the unit and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, patients and families to ensure quality care across the continuum.

This role requires self-direction and strong communication, particularly on the 7p–7a shift. Experience in ICU or ED (minimum 2 years) is required, with premium pay and shift

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years ICU or ED experience.
• RN license in good standing.
• Willingness to work night shift (7pm–7am).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
