Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a full-time float pool nurse to assess, implement, and evaluate care for various patients across units. Reports to the Clinical Director of the unit and collaborates with nursing, physicians, patients, and families to ensure quality care.

Minimum 2 years ICU or ED experience; shifts are 7am–7pm, 36 hours per week, with differential pay for non-CC/ CC areas and weekend hours. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of ICU or ED work experience.
• Nursing process: assessment, plan, and evaluation.
• Interpersonal communication is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continuously evaluates patient progress and applies interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and safe environment for patients and families.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
