Job summary

W. Frank Wells Nursing Home is seeking a Registered Nurse to work Nights on a PRN schedule. The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and ensure safety and quality in patient care.

Responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, triage decisions, pain management, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration with the seven rights. Required: Florida RN licensure, BLS certification, ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as RN in Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire, maintain current thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Use triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
• Accurately assign triage categories.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain and educate patient and family regarding pain management.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias.
