Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the 5th Floor General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine unit. The role focuses on direct patient care, coordinating plans of care, and educating patients and families, with nights and alternating weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.

Education

ADN or BSN program

RN licensure
