Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position in Eastern Montana, caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and including newborns. You will perform quality respiratory treatments, tests, and use Epic EMR while collaborating with care teams.

The role emphasizes newborn care, strong communication, and teamwork, with a 12-hour night schedule (7 on/7 off) and a 13-week assignment to support the Respiratory Department’s goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• RRT or CRT certification required.
• Active Montana state license required if applicable.
• Current BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Newborn care experience required.
• Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient respiratory department setting.
• Treats patients of all age groups, including newborns.
• Performs quality respiratory treatments and testing, including EKGs and 6 Minute Walk Tests.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Night shift schedule, 7 on 7 off, 12-hour shifts.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Join the I CARE team within the Respiratory Department.
• Assist with patient and family education on respiratory diseases and medications.
• Help develop plans for successful patient discharges.
• Work with various respiratory equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Collaborate closely with both inpatient and outpatient care teams.
