Job summary

Clover Staffing seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a Kealakekua, Hawaii assignment. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in evaluating and treating respiratory disorders and operating ventilators and life-support equipment.

Requirements include NBRC credentials (RRT preferred, CRT acceptable) with BLS/ACLS and state licensure. Work schedule is 11:00 PM–07:00 AM for 13 weeks, with housing, health benefits, and travel pay offered.

Qualifications

• NBRC Therapist Multiple-Choice (TMC) examination must be passed.
• NBRC Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE) must be passed.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC required; CRT minimum certification.
• State licensure required (49 states regulate respiratory therapy).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory disorders.
• Evaluate patients and perform diagnostic tests (arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests).
• Develop respiratory treatment plans with physicians.
• Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy.
• Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and aerosol generators.
• Manage life-support equipment in critical care settings.
• Administer respiratory treatments (oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy).
• Respond to emergency situations (cardiac arrest, trauma).
• Collaborate with healthcare team on patient management.
• Educate patients and families about disease management.

Education

Associate degree or higher from accredited respiratory care program (2-3 years)
