Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification or licensure required
• ACLS/BLS/NRP or equivalent certifications within specified timelines
• State licensure as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner where applicable
• Experience with invasive/noninvasive ventilation and respiratory care across ED/ICU/acute settings

Responsibilities

• Assessing respiratory status through exams, breath sounds, and airway patency
• Delivering evidence-based respiratory therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance
• Managing ventilation and airways, including initiation/adjustment of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Educating patients and families and coordinating with physicians/nurses
• Maintaining and sanitizing equipment and ensuring infection-prevention standards
