Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 6 months of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of employment start date.
• NBRC-RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner license (state)

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency; determine need for interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques and other treatments across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways: invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor response, respond to changes or emergencies.
• Educate patients and families; serve as a clinical resource; collaborate with physicians and nurses; assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain equipment and safety: set up, operate, clean, and maintain readiness; follow infection-control standards.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

NBRC-RRT Certification
