Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. You will deliver therapy, assessments, and life-support in acute and critical care, with collaboration across the care team and family education.

Includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance up to $7,000, and shift incentives. VA licensure and NBRC-RRT are required, with ongoing competency validation and potential ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree and/or certification required from a CoARC (Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care Education) approved school of respiratory therapy.
• Licensure: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required; BLS within 3 months; ACLS/NRP/PALS within one year where required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures in general and intensive patient care areas and home care as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for all ages with age-specific plans.
• Collaborate with health care team and family to develop and evaluate interdisciplinary plans; ensure documentation and education.
