Sharp HealthCare in San Diego is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 12/36 shift schedule with 6 PM to 6:30 AM coverage. This CBA-governed role requires union membership within 31 days and adherence to SEIU-UHW terms.

The position focuses on planning and administering respiratory care, documenting patient data, and collaborating with the care team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes. Eligible candidates hold CRT and RCP credentials, with BLS and NRP certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program.
• CRT certification by NBRC is required.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• NRP certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Plans and administers respiratory care functions in assigned clinical areas.
• Communicates patient status and changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintains patient records and documents charges within specified time frames.
• Ensures aseptic technique and universal precautions during care.
• Attends patient care rounds and participates in orientation of new staff.
