Job summary

New Hope Treatment Centers in Shadowbrook, SC is seeking a Residential Counselor for 7pm-7am shifts to supervise and support children and adolescents in a therapeutic residential milieu. The role focuses on safety, de-escalation, and implementing approved policies to promote a calm, healing environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, assist with daily activities, document progress, and coordinate with families as part of treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must successfully pass all required background checks.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to relate to and work with children/adolescents in crisis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents during treatment activities and ensure safety.
• Provide therapeutic supervision within the residential milieu.
• Assist with the coordination of therapeutic activities and daily routines.
• Maintain documentation in the health record daily, including interventions and outcomes.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team and attend required meetings.
• Assist with transportation of residents in facility vehicles.
