Job summary

Center for Family Services in Glassboro, NJ, is seeking a compassionate Residential Counselor for Together Shelter to support youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges. This relief position involves 24/7 direct care, crisis support, and collaboration with a treatment team to promote safety and progress.

You will provide supervision, assist with daily living activities, lead group activities, and document incidents while maintaining strong rapport with residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a valid non-provisional driver's license in good standing.
• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years of direct care experience OR a BA with 1 year of direct care experience.
• Desire to work with adolescents and young adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 supervision, direct counseling, and ensure youth safety.
• Assist with daily living activities and transport to appointments as needed.
• Build positive relationships with youth residents through supportive interaction.
• Support treatment interventions and de-escalate crisis following protocols.
• Lead and participate in structured group activities and recreation.
