Job summary

Community House Mental Health Agency seeks a Residential Caregiver to join the care team in Seattle, WA. The role provides behavioral health services, skills training, and ADL/IADL support in a residential setting, including medication help and documenting care in EMR.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the team, ensuring safety per trauma-informed care, shift-change participation, and supporting residents with daily living activities, transport, and care planning.

Qualifications

• Obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor credential with Washington Department of Health within 60 days of hire
• Pass criminal background check before hire date
• Complete TB test within first 2 weeks of hire
• Obtain/maintain Food Workers Card within 14 days of hire
• Obtain/maintain First Aid/CPR card within 30 days of hire
• Complete 75-Hour Long-Term Care Worker basic training within 120 days
• Obtain Home Care Aide certification within 200 days of hire
• Complete 12 hours of continuing education annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team to ensure residents access needed treatment, support, and appointments
• Ensure interactions reflect trauma-informed care principles
• Supervise medication windows following the seven rights of medication use
• Participate in shift change meetings and complete documentation
• Maintain resident charts and logs per guidelines
• Provide input on service plans with other providers
• Facilitate group and individual activities and events
• Assist in admission and discharge planning
• Attend meetings and stay awake on shifts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
