Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks a Night shift Rail Load Out Operator for the Marble Falls plant. Monday through Thursday, 5 PM to 5 AM, responsible for loading railcars, ensuring material availability, and maintaining the load-out system.

The role requires inspecting railcars, coordinating with the supervisor, and operating the automated load-out and reporting systems. Applicants should be able to work overtime and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must have good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have an excellent safety record and be a very safe employee.
• Ability to supervise own work and be self-motivated.
• Ability to learn computer systems.
• Ability to learn and operate heavy equipment including train locomotives.

Responsibilities

• Load and railcars and ensure material is available to load customer rail cars.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs of the load-out system and equipment.
• Inspect railcars for cleanliness and condition prior to loading; address issues.
• Verify car lists, assign cars to orders, and load cars through automated load-out system.
• Bill cars with railroad using the rail connect system and update reporting; prepare cars for pickup.
