Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the night shift to perform diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will review physician orders, position patients, and obtain high-quality radiographs under the supervision of Radiologists.

The role requires ARRT registration, an accredited radiologic technologist program, and current BLS certification, with a preference for one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration as Radiographer.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physics/electricity and variations of anatomical positions.
• Knowledge of ALARA principles to minimize patient dose.

Responsibilities

• Review procedure requests and determine exam region and images.
• Prepare patients, position them, and explain procedures.
• Assist Radiologist with routine radiographs and operate imaging equipment.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Document verifications and any necessary re-imaging.
• Collect and forward PACS images for interpretation.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Monitor daily quality control and report equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
