Job summary

Qualifications

• Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist status.
• Maintain active Iowa Permit to Practice.
• Participate in professional society (ISRT or SCD).
• BLS certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Complete Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including operating imaging equipment.
• Rotates regularly through surgery cases to attain level III status.
• Educates patients, families or caregivers on health problems and solutions.
• Performs exams according to protocol with proficiency.
• Maintains a clean, stocked, and orderly department environment.
• Operates equipment safely and reports malfunctions to manager/biomed.
