Job summary

Ally Medical ER is seeking a Radiology Technician Assistant to support the radiology team by performing basic patient care under supervision and operating x-ray and CT equipment for diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, producing quality radiographs, and ensuring timely communication of results to the nurse and physician. Requires ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in radiologic technology with ARRT certification.
• Two or more years of radiology technologist experience in a hospital or ER setting.
• ARRT certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Current Texas Department of State Health Service license for Radiology Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive patient care under supervision of RN in charge or physician.
• Performs vital signs, height/weight, IV starts, blood draws, and documentation.
• Performs diagnostic testing using x-ray and CT equipment per physician orders.
• Produces and uploads quality radiographs for interpretation.
• Applies proper techniques during radiology testing and lab procedures.
• Reports lab and radiology results to RN/physician immediately.
• Assists RN and physicians with assessments, examinations and treatment.
• Assists with crutch walking, dressing changes, or splint/cast applications.
